02. Personal data that we process

SVK nv processes your personal data when you use our services and/or when you provide it to us yourself.

SVK nv is responsible for the processing of your personal data which are described and explained in this privacy statement. SVK nv only processes or arranges the processing of personal data if this is necessary in order to carry out the tasks assigned to SVK nv. SVK nv always processes the data in accordance with the terms in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and with the terms in federal and Flemish law relating to the protection of natural persons when processing personal data.

Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

• First and last name
• Address details
• Telephone number
• Email address
• IP address
• Other personal data that you actively provide by, for example, creating a profile on this website, via correspondence and by telephone
• Location details
• Details about your activity on our website
• Data about your surfing behaviour across different websites (for example because this company is part of an ad network)

03. Particular and/or sensitive personal data that we process

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years old, unless they have permission from their parents or guardians. However, we cannot check if a visitor is older than 16. We encourage parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data about children being collected without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal information about a minor without this permission, please contact us via herwig.meert@svk.be and we will delete this information.

04. For what purposes and on what basis we process personal data

SVK nv processes your personal data for the following purposes:

• To send our newsletter and/or advertising brochure
• To call you or email you if this is necessary to carry out our services
• To inform you about changes to our services and products
• To provide you with the possibility to create an account
• To deliver goods and services to you
• SVK nv analyses your behaviour on the website in order to improve the website and to tailor the range of products and services to your preferences.
• SVK nv monitors your browsing behaviour on various websites with which we tailor our products and services to your needs.
• SVK nv uses marketing cookies, which are cookies that aim to optimise the user experience or to send targeted advertising to users. The cookies are often used to provide information to external marketing channels, such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Google Ads.

SVK nv processes your personal data on the basis of one of the following principles:

• Permission: You have given your express permission to process your personal data (Article 6.1 a) GDPR);
• Agreement: The processing of your personal data is a result of an agreement you have made with SVK nv (Article 6.1 b) GDPR);
• Legitimate interests: The processing of your personal data is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the processing manager or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or basic rights of the data subject which require protection of personal data, in particular where the person involved is a minor (Article 6.1 f) GDPR).

05. How long we store personal data

SVK nv does not store your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. SVK nv therefore stores your data while you are using our services. Then we will store your data for the period that is reasonably justifiable for the provided services. This period is 20 years. Once this period has expired the data will be removed.

06. Sharing personal data with third parties

SVK nv does not sell your information to third parties and only provides your information if it is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. With companies that process your data on our behalf, we conclude a processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. SVK nv remains responsible for such processing.

07. Will your personal data be sent outside the European Union?

SVK nv will never pass your data to countries outside the European Union or international organisations. Those are countries or organisations which are located beyond the territory of the European Economic Area (European Union + Iceland, Norway and Lichtenstein). This may be occur if we use a cloud service provider. In that case we take all possible measures to ensure that your data is protected to an equivalent level.

SVK nv only uses technical, functional, analytical and marketing cookies. The analytical cookies do not infringe your privacy. The marketing cookies are cookies that aim to optimise the user experience or to send targeted advertising to users. The cookies are often used to provide information to external marketing channels, such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Google Ads.

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website. The analytical cookies we use are also necessary for the technical operation of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and remember, for example, your preferences. With this, we can also optimise our website. You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser so that it does not store cookies anymore. 09. Modify or delete data

You have the right to correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by SVK nv, and you have the right to data transfer. This means that you can submit a request to us to send a computer file containing the personal data we have about you to you or another organisation named by you.

You can send a request for correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or request the cancellation of your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to herwig.meert@svk.be or to Aerschotstraat 114, 9100 Sint-Niklaas, FAO Herwig Meert.

In order to ensure that the request for correction or removal has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. Make your photo black in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within no more than four weeks.

10. How we protect personal data

SVK nv takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. The data is stored on internal
servers which are not accessible to external parties. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact us through our customer service or via herwig.meert@svk.be

SVK nv retains the right to review and amend this privacy policy, within the limits of the application legislation relating to data protection. Amendments and updates will always be notified on the website www.svk.global.
