Creating character and dimension with façade panels
What began as a challenge project, later became a striking villa in Wallonia. The Colormat façade panels have given the building plenty of character and colour dimensions. A gorgeous outlook over the rear side of the building completes the original façade. A successful project carried out by architecture office: Architectural Management. To ensure an excellent customer service, he carefully selected the best materials.
Integration into the surroundings
The contemporary building enjoys a broad outlook over the rear garden, with a swimming pool and a pool house. Although the rear is a jewel, the front of the building faces the street side as normal. In order to help the building blend into its surroundings, the Colormat Scripto fibre cement façade cladding was chosen in shades of grey with white finishings.
Colormat Scripto façade panels
Fibre cement was revealed to be the best choice following a thorough analysis of a range of materials. Its strong and stable nature, the right price/quality radio and particularly the efficiency with which the façade panels can be attached were the deciding factors. This was because those are the factors that make SVK façade panels the ideal cladding material. Last but not least, it is also very easy to maintain, as opposed to wood, for example.
Striking appearance
The building is comprised from a range of materials such as fibre cement façade panels, Crepi and stone, to name a few. By combining 3 shades of Colormat Scripto façade panels, architecture office: Architectural Management created a characteristic façade with a sense of dimension. The various colour gradients of the different Colormat shades lend the villa a striking appearance. The colours Jasmine (S401), Slate (S402) and Storm (S403) form the basis of the colour palette.
Attention to detail
The biggest challenge during the project was the precision work. The measurements, finishing and attachment of the façade panels for the “patchwork”. After all, the façade consists of panels in a range of sizes and colours that are carefully blended with one another. Also by no means inconspicuous are the eaves, which help the building avoid overheating. This versatile and unique villa is undoubtedly a jewel!
